Last night YQS Black travelled to LVS to play in the finals. The girls played well with good communication and movement on the court. Although we were not able to come away with the banner we had a great season full of improvements. Ms. Wood and Mr. Laing would like to say again that we are very proud of each player for giving their best efforts and being positive teammates. There were many highlights in our season including a win against LVS Dark in the first half and a spectacular semi-final win against EAMS on Tuesday. Congratulations girls on a great season of volleyball! Please listen to announcements about an upcoming wind-up. Girls on all teams need to return their jerseys to Ms. Wood as soon as possible. In exciting girls’ volleyball action last night, YQS Black battled a strong EAMS team and came out on top. First set was won 25-12 and second set was a close 26-24. The girls were aggressive at the net with well- directed hits and several big blocks. Serving was consistent and all players covered the court well. Ms. Wood and Mr. Laing were very proud of the whole team, on and off the bench, for good sportsmanship and positive attitudes. Good luck girls as we head to LVS after school to compete for the banner!
