On Saturday both YQS girls teams went to the Pass, Set and Crush tournament at LVS school. Both teams had a great weekend but didn't make the playoffs. Last night in girls volleyball action YQS A played at OVS and YQS B hosted EAMS B. Both teams fought hard with YQS A coming out on top of OVS and YQS B just barely losing to EAMS B dropping the last two sets after winning the first. Great job YQS! Report by Kiera.

In boys volleyball both YQS teams participated in the Pass, Set, and Crush Volleyball tournament held at EAMS on Saturday. Both teams played very well with YQS A finishing in 4th place and YQS B finishing in 5th. Last night in volleyball action YQS A took on YQS B in an all YQS match up. Both teams played hard with YQS B winning two sets to one. YQS A won the first set 25-12, YQS B won the second 25-23 and a close third set 27-25. Boys practice tonight. Report by Connor.
In girls volleyball action this week YQS A and B played two games each. On Tuesday, YQS B travelled to face EAMS winning the first set, but losing the next two.. On Wednesday YQS B played LVS and YQS A played EAMS. YQS B had a good first set winning, but ended up losing the next two sets. YQS A fought hard winning the first set, but lost the next two as well. Last night YQS A travelled to EAMS to play the grey team. YQS lost the first set, but rallied to win the next two sets to get the win. Great job ladies! In boys volleyball action this week both YQS A and B were in action on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday YQS B hosted EAMS B. YQS lost a close first set 26-24 and battled hard but still lost the other two sets. YQS A travelled to EAMS A where they won the first set, but lost the next two. On Wednesday YQS A played EAMS B and lost all three sets. YQS B travelled to LVS, played well and won all three sets. Great job boys and remember we have our tournament at EAMS this Saturday. In girls volleyball action last night YQS B travelled to OVS where they won the first two sets with excellent serving. They lost the third set 25-18. YQS A Black hosted LVS B. It was a great game with excellent team spirit and team play. The girls lost a close first set 25-22, won the second 25-20, and lost the third, 19-25. Volleyball season has begun with YQS fielding two boys teams and two girls teams. In girls volleyball action YQS B played LVS B on Tuesday falling short losing all three sets. On weds they travelled to EAMS and lost the first two but battled back to win the third set. YQS A opened their season on weds with a 3 set victory against OVS. YQS A hosts LVS A today after school. Cross country season has ended with YQS bringing home the Grade 7/8 championship banner. Runners battled tough winds and many hills as they competed in the final meet of the season in Roseile. Individual awards went to Mitchell Toews for top Grade 7/8 boy runner and Maddie Shwaluk for top Grade 7/8 girl runner. Excellent job YQS
